This is the third release of Hygge Blend this year. It is an Ethiopian blend, and the theme of diverse berry flavors remains. However, unlike Velvet White, another Ethiopian blend that seeks 'consistent' citrus and floral flavors throughout the year, Hygge has been changing gradually every year. And that feels like some sort of growth or development to me.
Specifically, here's the story. The first Hygge was a combination of Ethiopia and Colombia, with a deep-fermented aroma from Colombia. At that time, Hygge was a coffee with a prominent presence of chocolate notes. The second Hygge was different. It was a blend made only with Ethiopian coffee, and unlike the first Hygge, it used only natural coffee. It was a coffee where the aroma of red berries like raspberries or strawberries stood out more than the first year.
If the second Hygge released last year felt like the coffee of a twenty-year-old just entering society, this Hygge feels like the coffee of a mature adult. Thanks to the subtly ripened fruit aroma, it feels luxurious, elegant, and dignified. It's like a coffee that people who know a bit about coffee would enjoy. Personally, I think it's the best among all the Hygge releases. You can feel the growth of the team that has been developing Hygge over the past three years. Enjoy it in your favorite way, whether it's espresso, latte, or drip.

What is the best consumed date for coffee beans? Are your coffee beans freshly-roasted?
We recommend 7-21 days after the initial roasting date to allow for degassing to take place, allowing the flavour of the coffee compounds to be properly extracted. Within the first seven days, roasted coffee beans are still releasing carbon dioxide and degassing. If not degassed properly, it will hinder the extraction of ground coffee particles during the brewing process.
What are the differences between Single Origins and Blends?
Single origin beans are harvested from a single producer, crop, or region, usually delivering a taste profile that is unique to its origins. Blends are a mixture of a few single origin beans, producing a rich and expressive flavor profile.
How do I choose coffee that is suitable for me?
Find the right tasting notes. These are often identified by our barista during cupping sessions. Some coffee are more floral and fruity while some are more chocolaty and nutty. As you drink more coffee, you will figure out which notes you would like the most.
