Kenya x Kenya is a strong tasting coffee. Sweet brown sugar and fresh bergamot flavors harmoniously to please the nose and tongue, and the fragrant blackberry scent lingers after drinking, adding to the delicacy of the coffee.
The only truth to creating a blend is simple, it simply tastes better when you mix different coffees together that that way. But then again looking at the composition of Kenya x Kenya got me a little puzzled, what could possibly be the reason for mixing two Kenyan coffees with the same origin, varietal, and process?
The two Kenyan coffee that the team drank were actually of different strengths. One had a delicate and complex aroma, the other had pleasant acidity and sweetness. It was like it could qualify for the coffee Olympics as singles, but it felt like we could win a medal if we went hand in hand in doubles match. So we brought them together to become the Kenya x Kenya blend.
